About me

I am Vale

I was born and raised in Argentina. My great grandparents were originally from Spain. As you can see my history, ancestry and culture are deeply rooted in Spanish. I am passionate about the vibrant, rich culture that defines my family and especially the language. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of playing school with my friends. I loved pretending I was a teacher. From an early age I have loved teaching.

However, after graduating from high school, life took me down a different path. I studied Business Administration at the Universidad Nacional de San Juan, in Argentina. While studying I began working in Finance for many years, which I truly enjoyed. Yet, even during those years the love of teaching pulled on my heart strings, as I found myself dedicating countless hours teaching as a volunteer.

Eventually, my love of teaching prevailed and led me to change careers. I bid Adiós to the world of finance and turned my attention exclusively to the profession of my heart, teaching. I obtained certification to teach Spanish as a foreign language (Español como Lenguaje Extranjero – ELE by its acronym in Spanish) from the Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes, in Spain. Over the years I have enjoyed continuing my professional development as a teacher and maintained professional ties with academic institutions in Spain. This has led to many opportunities at learning institutions and ultimately to the development of my own teaching platform.

In 2005, I followed the other love of my life, my husband to the United States. Here, I have had the enormous pleasure of meeting and interacting with people from different countries from all over Latin America and Spain. This experience has enriched my understanding of Latin culture and added flavor to my teaching style.
